Kevin is the owner and lead instructor with Express Hockey. Upon moving back to Atlantic Canada 16 years ago, Kevin searched out potential hockey programs in the surrounding area, and clearly found that Express Hockey was the best program from a skill development and instructional perspective.
Currently and over the past 25+ years; I have spent many rewarding hours on the ice teaching the game from a skill development and tactical perspective and ensuring when skills and tactics are taught, they are done in a game application environment. Teaching and developing comes from a passion to help players become better and also ensuring the program stays current on teaching practices by researching the market for best practices and evolving with the game.
Express Hockey is regarded as one of the top programs in the region in terms of developing and preparing players for the next level. Results show this is certainly the case with many players graduating to the next level and now playing in the QMJHL, NCAA, MJHL, CCHL, Major Bantam & Midget.
Kevin has a real passion for the game and thoroughly enjoys giving back his knowledge of the game to the kids and the community. I believe that a sound player skill set is the foundation to become a confident player and allows the player to turn those skills into team tactics and strategy.
Kevin is very active in the community coaching hockey and baseball and firmly believes that sports are a great avenue to develop life skills like discipline, work ethic, teamwork, and having fun, while building excellence.
Kevin grew up in Plaster Rock, NB and currently resides in Quispamsis, with his wife Tanya and their 2 children; Ethan 18 and Avery 16, both Express players.
Kevin works in the community and with his professional education and leadership skills he brings many key values, skills and beliefs that are a key part of the life skill process that Express Hockey demonstrates.
